Carlos Matos, CEO

Carlos D. Matos, the named new CEO of Chelsea Business Foundation, Mr. Matos brings to the position decades of senior level public and private sector management experience and deep proficiency in: change leadership, management of complex projects, and strategic planning. His deep industry acumen encompasses economic/workforce development, leading global client IT and financial services solutions, and strategic state and local government initiatives. Mr. Matos comes to the position from his most recent work leading Chelsea’s the Transform Development Initiative on behalf of MassDevelopment, the state’s finance agency focused on economic development. Carlos, in this two-year Fellowship has advanced the local economic visions through a place-based strategy that leveraged, a partnership’s collective impact, business and real estate development, and catalyzed investments to spark economic activities.

Carlos earned a BA from the highly ranked Saint Anselm College and Masters level course work in Reginal Economic and Social Development from UMass Lowell.

Deise Paraguay

Deise Paraguay, a Business Project Manager at Chelsea Business Foundation. She has a wealth of experience, bringing over 10 years of project management experience, where she led multiple construction projects, such as, residential and commercial buildings, hospitality construction projects, with a total budget of 22 million dollars, as well as 200+ employees and 20+ subcontractors. She is a former consultant at Cambridge College Consulting C3, where she utilized data analytics to in identify growth opportunities for non-profits and small business. She concluded her MBA at Cambridge College in December 2019; she has a Project Management graduate certificate from Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC) and B.S. in Civil Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG).

 

Jenny Camacho

Jenny Cepeda-Camacho is an entrepreneur at heart.  She’s one of the owners of Café El Dorado; she’s also the owner and founder of JC Consulting Group and several online businesses: Simply Healthy by Jenny a nutrition club, No Limits by Jenny, Slick C, and Exquisite Reviews.  She’s also the author of the book Overcoming Career Setbacks among other books.

Prior to having her own businesses, she worked at BNY Mellon for more than 10 years where she held positions in Finance, Sales, and Mergers and Acquisition departments.  She also led multiple regional employee resource groups: IMPACT, VetNet and the IMPACT Regional Mentoring Program.  Before that Jenny honed her skills by working as a Senior Executive Assistant at State Street Corporation and served a similar role at JPMorgan Investor Services as Executive Assistant to the CEO of Investor Services. Her strategic thinking acumen, project management skills, budget management skills and her ability to work under pressure have built her a reputation as a high integrity leader.  She serves as the Director of Marketing for ALPFA’s WOA Program

Mourad Afani 

Mourad Afani is a currently a consultant at State Street Corporation. He leads the onboarding-pricing estimate globally across workstreams. This role involves financial mathematics, data analysis and budgets projections skills. Prior to his experience at State Street, he served as an office manager of a physician’s practice where he led all business decisions; from investment and equipment acquisitions, to budgets, accounting and human resource management.

He grew up in Rabat, Morocco and moved to the States to continue his education. He attended Cambridge College where he received Bachelors Degree in Business Management. After a year of experience, he joined Northeastern University where he earned a Master of Science in Global Studies and International Affairs, global & Economic development concentration. Mourad is in the process of completing his MBA as well. Mourad is passionate about transformative leadership and its role in bringing about positive change.

Eddie Tejeda

Eddie Tejeda, an outstanding and interesting professional career built over 16 years working in the Telecommunications Industry, Certified Technical Leader Support & sales for 3M, In Anixter as outside sales and channels manager, 14 years as a Territory Manager in Telecom Division at Glenn International. Including advisory to the major telephone companies with emerging technologies and High-Tech solutions. Responsible for planning and supervision of the commercial and sales relationship with all channels of integration. A representative for the Principal American Companies and Manufactures to develop multiple projects as Orange Telecom Company and Claro. Responsible for the Strategic and all Technical Training Program for Claro for Outside Plant Solutions the main Customer and similar companies in the country. Postgraduate degree in Marketing Management from UNAPEC in the Dominican Republic. Active participation in social community projects, training programs for university students, and Technical schools guiding to new technology trends.

Carolina Soler

Carolina is Logistics Communication Coordinator and provides Technical Assistance to small

businesses. She’s an entrepreneur and has designed, produced and distributed products such as Cafe Amanecer. She has more than 8 years of experience in customer service at various internationally known hotel conglomerates such as Hilton, NH and NCL Cruise Line.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Tourism Management From the university of Externado in Colombia. She also completed a postgraduate certificate in Business Development at Cambridge college.

Juan Aldaz 

Juan has over 10 years experience in digital Marketing and communications in e-commerce for products and services, from software to nutraceuticals and heavy machinery, he started doing advertising and SEO hands-on, the hard way in 2009.

He has extensive experience in working with different clients/cultures in the USA, and Colombia, and understands digital communications as part of the digital transformation process most companies are currently experiencing. In 2019 he finished a Master in Strategic Communication, from Universidad de La Sabana, his dissertation was on Facebook engagement benchmark analysis. He also has taught digital marketing at several universities in Colombia.

She is Nala (a.k.a. little Chewbacca), our new team member. She is a 5 months old Pomerania (born on March 15, 2021).  Nala loves her human pets and to greet new friends at the office.
She is a very playful affectionate girl who loves to lick humans.  She has tons of energy so is keeping us busy walking her many times a day!
